Margaret-Teresa-McDonell recognition Award
In 2009, the Conseil communauté en santé du Manitoba (CCS) (now Santé en français), created the the Margaret-Teresa-McDonell Recognition Award, awared to health and social services professionals. Named Sister Sainte-Thérèse, also known as Sister Doctor, Margaret-Teresa was a pioneer in offering services in French in Saint-Boniface, especially as a founding member of Saint-Boniface General Hospital. Her leadership, her values of humanism and her devotion made a difference in the lives of francophones in Manitoba.
Just as the Sister-Doctor, recipients of the Margaret-Teresa McDonell Award are recognized in their community for their commitment to quality French language health and social services.
The Margaret-Teresa-McDonell Award is awarded during our Forum À notre santé… en français!, held every 2 years. Our next Forum will take place November 1st and 2nd 2018, at Holiday-Inn South. Registration will begin in September.
