Summit on the health of francophone immigrants in western and northern Canada

Registration closed February 9th 2023 at 4:30pm.

This event was held in French and as such, all programming, plenary and registration documentation is provided in French only.

This summit is geared to professionals, stakeholders and partners working in immigration, health care and social services. It will feature presentations, sessions, tools and recommendations dealing with the health and well-being of francophone immigrants.

A cocktail event will follow at 5:30 p.m., during which the Margaret Teresa McDonell Award will be presented.

This year, the À votre santé… en français! forum will be offered in a new format and will bring together participants from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, the Yukon, the Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.

 

The objectives of the summit, which will focus on mental health and trauma among francophone newcomers, are as follows:

  • bring together professionals and stakeholders from the immigration and health and social services sectors of western and northern Canada to share experiences in the field of francophone immigration
  • build participants’ knowledge of the health of francophone immigrants

 

The summit is organized in collaboration with the Réseau en immigration francophone du Manitoba.
