St. Boniface, March 18, 2025 – Santé en français is proud to recognize the outstanding commitment of Meghan Kynoch, recipient of the Margaret-Teresa-McDonell Award. This award honors professionals who make remarkable contributions to the delivery of French-language services in the health and social services sectors.

As Program Coordinator at Youth BIOlab Jeunesse at the Albrechtsen Research Centre, St. Boniface Hospital, Meghan Kynoch expands science education in French for students from Grades 5 to 12. A graduate of a French Immersion program with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, she understands the challenges of learning in a second language and uses her experience to inspire students. Her creativity sets her apart as she designs hands-on experiences that make complex scientific concepts accessible, allowing hundreds of Francophone and French Immersion students to engage with science in French each year.

“Just like Sister Margaret-Teresa McDonell, Meghan uses her expertise to serve the community with dedication and passion. Through her innovative approach and commitment, she inspires young people to explore science in French and consider careers in the field. Santé en français is proud to present this award to this champion in recognition of her exceptional contribution to French-language science education.” emphasizes Diane Poiron-Toupin, president of Santé en français.

The award ceremony will take place on Monday, March 24th, 2025, at 3:30 pm in the atrium of the Albrechtsen Research Centre at St. Boniface Hospital (351 Taché Avenue, Winnipeg).

Media and individuals who wish to attend are invited to confirm their presence by emailing administration@santeenfrancais.com by Thursday, March 20th, 2025.
