In 1992, the Santé en français Resource Centre was created following the recommendations from Maurice Gauthier’s Study on French-Language Services in Manitoba’s Health Care Facilities. The Centre provided support services to designated bilingual health and social services facilities.

Since Santé en français’s incorporation in 2004, those support services are still carried out as provided in the provincial agreement.
