Offering and Requesting Services in French: Video Series

Offering services in French and requesting them are two complementary approaches to improving access to health and social services in French in Manitoba.

For Manitoba’s Francophone population, being able to communicate in French when accessing health and social services makes it easier to understand information, builds trust, and encourages greater participation in decision-making and following care recommendations. Active offer allows professionals to make French-language services known without waiting for someone to request them. In turn, individuals who express their language preference help make the needs of the Francophone community more visible.

Santé en français presents a series of ten videos inspired by everyday situations in health and social services. Intended for both the public and professionals, they use humour to explore different ways of offering and requesting services in French and invite viewers to discover the available resources.
