James Ryan grew up at a time when French was prohibited in Manitoba schools. Despite obstacles that could have distanced him from his mother tongue, he remained steadfast. That determination led him, among other things, to serve as a volunteer on Santé en français’s Board of Directors for nearly ten years. His commitment was driven solely by his deep attachment to the French language.
Santé en français would like to thank James Ryan for his commitment to the organization. His dedication has helped Santé en français continue its mission as a standard-bearer for Manitoba’s francophone community.
